Megan Gale
Gale, then 18, was 18 when she won a Perth modelling contest. After several years of modelling, Gale rose to fame when in 1999 was cast to appear in a series of adverts for an Italian telecommunication company, Omnitel (now Vodafone Italy) She was part of the commercials of the company from 1999 to 2006.She was also commissioned with the Australian Tourist Commission in 2003 as 'their face of Australia and Italy'. Gale was featured on covers for Australian Marie Claire and Grazia. In addition, she was featured in Italian Maxim and Australian InStyle. Gale has modelled on runways for Italian fashion houses like Gianfranco Ferre Genny, Gai Mattiolo as well as runway shows with Mariella Burani and Angelo Marani at Milan Fashion Week. Gale is also a huge fan of numerous Australian designers including Colette Dinnigan, Kirrily Johnsonston Lisa Ho and Alex Perry. She was also the fashion expert for Australian TV's Logies awards in the year 2006. Gale declared in January 2008 that she would be retiring from runway modeling after 15 prosperous years. A few weeks later on, during the unveiling of the David Jones winter collection in Sydney, Gale walked for the final time on the catwalk. She wore the Wonder Woman costume she had in mind to wear in the Justice League of America film and was in the process of developing. Gale was the last to leave Alex Perry's Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011 show in March 2011.
