Anna Silk

Anna Silk was born in January 1974. The most famous role she has played is Bo in the Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk is born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk are the fathers of Silk. Ilkay is a playwright as well as director, and she teaches drama on the drama department at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna is able to recall her first experiences when she was at rehearsals for play with her mother. Silk played a role as a young actress in commercials. She earned her Bachelor of Arts was awarded by St. Thomas University, 1997. Theatre St. Thomas staged two plays in the early years: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto to pursue her acting career in order to advance, then she moved to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman was her future husband when she met him in 2007 at an Actors' Workshop located in Los Angeles. They were engaged in 2009, and were married at a civil wedding ceremony in December of that year. Following her conversion to Judaism the couple renew their vows in the Jewish ceremony on the 10th of April 2011. The ceremony was held in Fredericton. Silk Cooperman gave birth to her first child Samuel Jerome Cooperman May 2013 Levi Aaron was her second born child on the 13th of May 2016. Silk has a number of TV roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. She was nominated for an award called the Gemini in 2009 for her performance. In 2009, she was cast as the main role of Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk revealed to fans her good information that she was pregnant on the set of season 3. The show was a pre-show exclusive to promote Season Three. This was presented by Showcase during the special Season Three show held January 6, 2013 before the premiere. Silk is involved in the production of Lost Girl since the third season finale episode was first conceived on January 6, 2013 on Twitter, announced her intention to return the 4th of June 2013 when Showcase and Prodigy Pictures began production of fourth season. Silk's portrayal of Bo together with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers on Lost Girl was named one of the most popular Television Couples in the year 2013 by CNN (Cable News Network) and declared Top TV Couple of 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. Silk is a huge online fan base on Facebook and Twitter as a direct result of its success.
